We charge you when you have taken a ride with Taxify and chosen to pay with your card. If you have not taken a ride and notice a charge on your account, it might be our temporary card verification hold.

Taxify performs a temporary card verification hold of 1€ (equivalent in other currencies) for all newly added credit cards. This amount never leaves your bank account, it is booked for a moment and made available shortly after. 

If you haven’t used Taxify to book a ride, make sure that you haven’t given your account to anyone else to use. 

It is crucial for us to authorize your card(s) in order for us to minimize/avoid any fraudulent and unauthorized usage of your card and information.

Please note that the platform will verify your payment details for up to the first five of your trips. Kindly be advised that these transactions are just holds to verify the validity of your payment method. Once verification is complete, the holds will be removed from your account.
