All listed vehicles are required to undertake and pass a roadworthy inspection - such as an eSafety or pink slip - within three months prior to applying to become a driver.

Under NSW Point to Point Regulations, all vehicles used for ride-sharing services will also need to pass annual eSafety or pink slip inspections.

It is a good idea to check that your vehicle meets your city's requirements prior to having it inspected. Make sure that:

  • Each tyre has a sufficient tread depth of at least 1.5mm
  • All lights are working, including headlights, park lights, signal indicator lights and brake lights
  • The body of the car is in good condition.
