If you have not taken a ride and notice a charge on your account, it might be due to our temporary card verification hold.

Taxify performs a temporary card verification hold of 1€ (equivalent in AUD) for all newly added credit cards. This amount never leaves your bank account, it is booked for a moment and made available shortly after. 

If you haven’t used Taxify to book a ride, make sure that you haven’t given your account to anyone else to use. 

It is crucial for us to authorise your card(s) in order for us to minimise/avoid any fraudulent and unauthorised usage of your card and information.

Please note that the platform will verify your payment details for up to the first five trips. These transactions are just holds to verify the validity of your payment method. Once verification is complete, the holds will be removed from your account.
